SAVE THE DATE: DART 2018

The 2018 Detroit Anti-Racism Training will be held on August 4th.

DART 2018 will feature a full-day professional development workshop for 30 people (applications will go live shortly) and an evening forum that will be open to the public. The theme this year is Detroit: Revitalization. We are looking for volunteers to join our planning team and for assistance at the venue(s). Sign up below. 

THE ARCHOUSE: STAGE 3

Work on the MuslimARC House is behind schedule but still in progress!

We are in Stage 3 of our fundraising. Our plans have expanded since we began fundraising: we will be adding a ramp and other features to try and make the house as accessible as possible and we will be applying to rezone the property for commercial use so we can add limited parking on-site and other features.

Stage 3 of our fundraising includes soliciting local organizations and businesses to purchase a tile in the House. Each tile is $1688 and the org/business will be able to add their name to the tile to display prominently in the front room on the ARCHouse. We are looking for volunteers to contact orgs/business owners they know (and/or cold-call local Muslim businesses) in the month of June. The goal is 50 tiles and we are currently at 12 sold. INTERN WITH MUSLIMARC

We are looking for summer/fall interns to work on admin, web design, social media, and more. 

Summer interns will be working remotely/virtually until the ARCHouse is up and running. A description of the positions available and instructions to apply are available here. Spread the word! 

JOIN THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

After spending half of 2017 working on our strategic plan, we are excited to be recruiting new directors to join our leadership team.  

4 positions are currently vacant on our working Board: finance, project management, legal, and development. Our first retreat will be June 30th. We are looking for Directors who can commit 10-15 hours a month to help us implement our strategic plan. Details are here: www.muslimarc.org/join/volunteer.
