MuslimARC is Celebrating a Night Uniting for Justice
- Local activists and supporters unite for a night of Community, History and Imagination to open a racial justice center.
- 2017 MacArthur Genius recipient, Dr. Rami Nashashibi will be Keynote Speaker
Detroit, Michigan, November 12, 2017 - On Saturday, November 18th, Muslim Anti-Racism Collaborative is having an elegant night at the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History for local activists and supporters of the social justice movement. This is a special night of silent auctions of beautiful items, spoken word artists, great jazz music and special guest Keynote Dr. Rami Nashashbi, Executive Director of the Inner City Muslim Action Network and 2017 MacArthur Genius award will be speaking.
Doors open at 6 pm and everyone is encouraged to wear semi-formal and cultural attire. Besides great jazz music from Wendell Harrison Ensemble, there will be strolling reception, delicious food and various photography and art activities people can view and purchase. The inspiring exhibits of the African American museum will be open as well.
